Success! Although Lance Armstrong was a bitter disappointment, Spyns 2010 Tour de France trips went off without a hitch. This is a quick post to thank our many clients and the outstanding team of guides who made our trips such an incredible success. I would also like to extend my special thanks to my long-suffering colleague Vicky Johnstone for her tireless efforts to make Spyns Tour de France adventures memorable.

In the words of our clients:

"You should feel incredible about bringing a group of strangers together and giving them the trip of a lifetime. Memories, new friends, and an experience we will treasure. Thank you!" Bernadette & Mark Van Osdal

"Merci beaucoup for a wonderful tour. As we've been relaying our experience to our friends back here in Boston, we realize what a unique experience it was and how much fun we had. As time goes by the glow of the memories just increases." Tony Manning

"This was the trip of a lifetime! It was one of the most fun, exciting, and enjoyable holidays we have taken. Thanks to Ryan and his staff for a great week." Mary-Martha Hale & Don Desnoyers

"Great, great, great! Spyns has figured it out!" Don Ross

"I loved being taken care of, everything was planned so well. I would do the tour again and made great friends." Wendy Heynen

"What an amazing way to see the Tour! Great access, knowledgeable guides, and beautiful accommodations. We had a great time." Peter & Heather Hernandez

The weather was disappointing, particularly in the Pyrenees where it rained a lot of the time, but that didn't dampen everyone's enthusiasm. It was also a pleasure to see everyone move on from the Lance years to embrace a new generation of riders like Andy Schleck. Coincidentally, we saw Andy riding in the Pyrenees twice during the tour. He comes across as a truly modest and shy guy if you can believe it. Perhaps this signals a change in cycling after the uber-hyped Lance years.

We have already started planning our 2011 Tour de France trips, including Alpe d'Huez so stay tuned to the blog for additional information.
